Peas and Asparagus Salad


2 cans whole asparagus, reserve juice
1 can peas, drained
1 cup chopped celery
1 small bell pepper, chopped
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
3 3-oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened
10 oz. Durkee's dressing

Spray a 13x9x2-inch baking dish with cooking spray and layer vegetables in order given; set aside. In a saucepan, heat juice from asparagus and dissolve gelatin; set aside. With electric hand mixer, blend together cream cheese and Durkee's dressing; fold in gelatin mixture by hand. Pour mixture over vegetables and smooth out. Chill until cold and set. Cut in squares and serve on lettuce leaf. Simple.

Makes 10 to 12 servings
