Tex-Mex Chops

4 boneless pork chops ---about 1 lb
1 tsp vegetable oil
1 1/2 c bottled salsa chunky style
1 c (4oz) diced chilies
1/2 ground cumin
1/4 c grated cheese (cheddar)


Heat oil in non stick pan over medium-high heat. Brown chops on one side about 3 minutes. Turn chops. Add salsa chilies & cumin to skillet mix well. Lower heat: cover & barely simmer for 8 minutes. Uncover and top each chop with 1 tablespoon cheese. Cover & simmer 2to 3 minutes until cheese is melted.
